Ah warmer times are arriving just in time for the weekend from the central Plains eastward. In the map above you may have noticed the snow outlook in the northern Rockies and indeed it’s that time of year ( September ) the higher areas of the Rockies see their first snow since last spring. As this storm system digs into the North West US a ridge will get pumped up in the central US then spreading east and north east with time.
Jose is barely in this image well off the south east coast, we can see Jose by Saturday afternoon just spinning off in the south west Atlantic.
Latest tracks for Jose keep the storm away from the US mainland for now.
a sharp cut off in the upper Plains as temps to the NW of the front are cold while south east of the front it feels more like summer.
Overnight Sunday Jose continues to spin off the south east coast. We’ll have to watch this storm to see later next week if it impacts parts of eastern New England.
