Hurricane Nate has made landfall at the mouth of the Mississippi River about an hour or two ago. As Nate moves inland we will start feeling effects in NC and VA on Sunday.
A Tropical Storm Watch has been issued for the coast of North
Carolina from Surf City northward to the North Carolina/Virginia
border, including the Albemarle and Pamlico Sounds.
Hurricane Irma was a very historic storm and will be long remembered. It was the strongest hurricane in the Atlantic for almost 12 years, and caused billions of dollars in damage.
We continue to watch Hurricane Maria and potential tracks that lead it close to the NC VA coastline midweek, with rough surf and likely some wind and rain.
